EASTON, Md. - On January 22, 2020 the Bowie State men's basketball team traveled to Easton, Md to hold a practice at the brand new BAAM Athletic Center. BAAM is a youth program that focuses on the educational aspects of minority youth in  the Easton area. It includes after school care and tutoring , field trips as well as a BAAM Festival . BAAM stands for Building African American Minds and includes youth from elementary through High School. Deborah Short, a Bowie State alumnus is the Program Director of BAAM and was very instrumental in building the partnership between Bowie State and BAAM.
Over 70 BAAM members along with the Easton HS Boys basketball team attended the practice, and stayed to take pictures and ask questions after the team practiced. PHOTOS
