BOWIE, Md. – Bowie State University quarterback Dion "DJ" Golatt, Jr. was named this week's BOXTOROW National Player of Week announced Tuesday morning.
Golatt, Jr. completed 17-29 passes for 242 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions as the Bulldogs defeated Virginia State 41-14 to tie with Virginia Union for first in first place in the CIAA Northern Division. His touchdown passes were for 45, 27, and 31 yards.
Golatt, Jr., a native of Largo, Md. leads the CIAA in passing yards (1,626), touchdown passes (13). The accolade is the first national recognition for Golatt, Jr. this season.
