BOWIE, Md. – Bowie State women's basketball travels to Lincoln, Pa. on Saturday, Jan. 14 to face the Lady Lions of Lincoln (PA) in its first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) division contest of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. from Manuel Rivero Gymnasium.

The Series
This will be the 21
st meeting between the Bulldogs and Lady Lions since 2009. Lincoln (PA) has won the last two outing, including a 61-36 win at home on Feb. 5, 2022. Bowie State is 7-13 all-time against LUPA.
Last Time Out
After leading at halftime, Bowie State couldn't hang on to the lead against the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos last time out, falling 53-47 to FSU on Jan. 9 at home.
Katerra Myers (Burtonsville, MD) led the Bulldogswith seven points and seven rebounds.
Anii Harris (Ellicott City, MD) tacked on 11 points and
Jazmyne Scott (Brooklyn, MD) chipped in eight points off the bench. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 4-2 against cross division opponents as Bowie State enters Saturday's game with an 8-7 overall record.
Last Time against LUPA
Harris scored 14 points but Bowie State suffered a 61-36 decision to Lincoln (PA). The Lady Lions owned a 26-20 lead at the break before limiting BSU to just three points in the third (20-3) in route to the lopsided affair. The Lady Lions held advantages in points off turnovers (24-5), second chances (12-4), points in the paint (36-14), fast breaks (26-6). The Bulldogs bench did perform well, holding a 31-8 ratio in the contest.
A Look at the Lincoln (PA)
The defending CIAA champions Lincoln (PA) is 10-5 overall and 5-1 in conference action. The Lady Lions have won its last five outings, including a 71-64 win over Claflin on Jan. 9 at home. The win marked the fifth home victory for LUPA who is 5-1 against opponents inside Rivero Gymnasium. Anyssa Fields scored a game-high 22 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the winning effort while Ciani Montgomery added 16 points and seven rebounds. Jaleesa Lanier and D'Ayzha Atkinson both would finish with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
