The Bulldogs also cleaned up the offensive glass, turning 15 rebounds into 13 second chance points. The Bulldogs defense held LUPA to only 33.9 percent shooting from the field, including 16.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Last Time against ECSU
Bowie State and Elizabeth City State last saw each other during the 2022 CIAA Tournament where Carpenter lit up the Vikings from behind the arc, padding a 17-point performance featuring five 3-pointers in route to a 60-52 win during the opening round. Carpenter was named the game's Food Lion MVP after shooting 5-of-7 from the 3-point line. He also finished with five rebounds, a steal and an assist. Bowie State took a 10-point lead at the break (28-18) and never looked back as the Vikings cut the deficit to eight with 2:44 remaining but that would be the closest ECSU got for the rest of the way.
