ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. -- The Bowie State women's volleyball team fell to the Claflin Lady Panthers in three sets (18-25, 16-25, 23-25) Sunday at R.L. Vaughan Center to conclude the CIAA Round-Up II.
The loss dropped Bowie State's record to 2-22 overall as the Bulldogs remain winless (0-10) in CIAA action.
Madyson Brinson finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Bulldogs offense and Tristynn Kerr added 12 digs to lead BSU defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Bulldogs found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-18. Bowie State trailed by as many as 10 points as Claflin never surrendered the lead in a set that was notted up zero times before the Lady Panthers took control.
SET 2 | A 25-16 set-two loss put Bowie State behind 2-0 in the match. BSU trailed by as many as nine points as Claflin grabbed the advantage for good at 8-7 in a set that was tied up five times before the Lady Panthers took over the lead.
SET 3 | The Lady Panthers finished the sweep with a set-three victory. The Bulldogs came up short in a back-and-forth battle, losing 25-23 in a set that featured seven lead changes and was tied nine times. Neither team had a lead of more than four points along the way.
