CHARLOTTE, N.C.  --- Bowie State quarterback Jordan Morse has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Quarterback and Rookie of the Week announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Morse, a redshirt freshman, had his best game of the 2023 season in his third start as he led the Bulldogs to a 46-39 victory Saturday against Lincoln (PA). He completed threw 19 passes for 277 yards and three touchdowns while adding 66 yards and two rushing touchdowns of his own in the win. The accolades is a second for Morse as quarterback of the week and first as rookie of the week.

The Bulldogs close out the 2023 regular season with a 6-4 overall record and 5-3 in CIAA play under the leadership of head coach Kyle Jackson in his first official season at the helm of the football program.
