GAME 1 | Millersville (PA) 11, Bowie State 2

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- The Bowie State Bulldogs gave up eight runs in the bottom fifth during the opening game of the non-conference twinbill, falling to the Millersville Marauders 11-2 despite the efforts of sophomore Ellianna Henneberg, who went 1-for-2 with a double.

Sophomore Lindsey George (8-5) got the ball to start for Bowie State (25-10) and took the loss. Offensively, the Bulldogs were paced by Henneberg, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double. Freshman Trinity Mizelle put together a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-for-1 with an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the top of the first inning. George came across to score the lone run of the inning for Bowie State and get them on the board.

The Marauders then rallied to score two runs and take a 2-1 lead before the Bulldogs got back on the board in the second. Bowie State scored once on an RBI single off the bat of Mizelle, which evened the score at 2-2. Millersville (PA) then scored nine times over the remaining three innings to break the tie and grab the 11-2 win.
