Salem (WV) narrowed Bowie State's lead to 3-2 before the Bulldogs stretched the advantage to 4-2 in the third inning.

Bowie State kept the Tigers scoreless before their offense got things rolling the next inning. The Bulldogs scored five runs in the inning, highlighted by a two-run single off the bat of Fritzges, bringing the score to 9-2 in favor of Bowie State.

The Bulldogs kept Salem (WV) scoreless before expanding their lead to 10-2 the following inning. Freshman Jahkya Watkins came across to score the lone run of the inning for Bowie State and get them on the board. The score remained 10-2 for the rest of the game, as the Bulldogs coasted to the win.
