BUCKHANNON, WV --The Bowie State volleyball team could not overcome a potent Bobcats offense Saturday on the road losing to West Virginia Wesleyan in straight sets (20-25, 17-25, 22-25).
The non-conference loss moved Bowie State to 1-9 on the season.
Nadira Avery finished with six kills on the day to lead the Bulldogs attack. BSU got six digs from Madison Adderley-Julien along with seven blocks from Nina Edwards to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Bulldogs fell behind early, losing the first set 25-20. Bowie State trailed by as many as six points as West Virginia Wesleyan grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 in a set that was tied up two times before the Bobcats took control.
SET 2 | Bowie State fell in set two 25-17, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. Bowie State trailed by as many as nine points as West Virginia Wesleyan grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up two times before the Bobcats took over the lead.
SET 3 | Bowie State was not able to win set three and was swept by West Virginia Wesleyan. The Bulldogs couldn't hang on in a back-and-forth battle, losing 25-22 in a set that featured two lead changes and was tied 12 times. Neither team had a lead of more than four points along the way.
