Men's Basketball Schedule for 2023-24 Season Announced

BOWIE, MD -- Bowie State's men's basketball schedule for the 2023-24 season has been announced Thursday afternoon, featuring 14 non-conference dates and the full 17-game Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) slate.

The Bulldogs will host its Classic to open the 2023-24 slate on Nov. 10-11 in A.C. Jordan Arena featuring Lock Haven, California (PA) and Fayetteville State. BSU will remain home to host Millersville on Nov. 15 before a two game road skid at the University of D.C. (Nov. 18) and Shepherd (Nov. 26). The Bulldogs will host Cheyney on Nov. 29 and Shippensburg on Dec. 6 but will travel to Felician on Dec. 4.

The matchup against Claflin will be the conference opener for the Bulldogs on Dec. 9 in Orangeburg, S.C., followed by a exhibition contest at George Mason on Dec. 12.

From Dec. 14 through Dec. 18, BSU will host a three-game homestand against conference foes Winston-Salem State (Dec. 14), Livingstone (Dec. 16) and Johnson C. Smith (Dec. 18) in cross division action. The contest against JCSU will be Education Day for the Bulldogs and will tip-off at 11 a.m.

Next, the Bulldogs will make stops at Frostburg State (Dec. 30), Fairmont State (Dec. 31), followed by conference road trips to Fayetteville State (Jan. 4), St. Augustine's (Jan. 6) and Shaw (Jan. 13).

The Bulldogs return home to welcome rival Lincoln (PA) on Jan. 20 before jumping on the road again for matchups at Virginia Union (Jan. 24) and Elizabeth City State (Jan. 27). 

After a home battle with Virginia State on Jan. 31, the Bulldogs will begin the month of February at Bluefield State (Feb.3) and then host ECSU (Feb. 10), VUU (Feb. 14) and the Big Blue's on Feb. 17 inside A.C. Jordan Arena.

The final regular season games will feature road tilts at VSU (Feb. 21) and LUPA (Feb. 24).

The CIAA Tournament will be held on Feb. 26 through Mar. 2 at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Md.
