Bowie, MD – The Bowie State women's basketball team will travel to Greenville, S.C. to take on Shaw for the Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Invitational. The matchup is set for 12 noon E.T. inside the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

The Bulldogs (10-6, 4-2 CIAA) won their last outing a week ago at St. Augustine's 65-63. The defensive presence brought by Bowie State forced 23 turnovers for the Lady Falcons. This turned into 18 points offensively and three players scoring double figures.
Anii Harris had 22 points and three steals.
Jayla Irvin added 19 points and four steals while Katera Myers contributed 12 points with eight rebounds. Collectively, the team shot 13-of-18 from the free throw line (72.2-percent) and grabbed 31 rebounds.

The Shaw Lady Bears (9-5, 4-1 CIAA) are coming off a win on Tuesday against Elizabeth City State, 72-59 on the road. SU held a 19-16 lead after the first quarter in route to a 38-34 lead at halftime. The Lady Bears took advantage of five the Lady Vikings turnovers in the fourth, scoring eight points. Thanks to a big scoring frame in the third stanza (26-14), Shaw cruised for the rest of the contest. Alexis Radcliff finished with 18 points, followed by Naomi Winston-Ellis with 16 points and Zaniyyah Ross-Barnes with 11 points, respectively.
