BOWIE, MD --- The Bowie State men's basketball team will look to get back on track Saturday, Jan. 6 when the Bulldogs travel to Raleigh, N.C. to take on the Falcons of Saint Augustine's in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) cross division doubleheader. The contest is slated to start at 4 p.m., following the women's game at 2 p.m. inside Emery Gymnasium.

The Series

• Bowie State and St. Augustine's will meet for the 17th time since 2010.
• The Bulldogs are 12-4 in the last 16 matchups and 8-2 in the last 10.
• SAU won the last outing between the two, 73-64 in Bowie, MD.

About Bowie State
BSU is coming off a lopsided affair with Fayetteville State, 67-59 on the road. Mainly because the Bulldogs only went to the line just eight times for the game compared to the Broncos who registered 28-of-41 from the free throw line. The Bulldogs  had three players score in double figures, led by Joel Webb, who had 13 points and two steals. Warren Mouganda added 11 points and two steals off the bench and Caleb Johnson chipped in as well with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.

The loss dipped the Bulldogs to 6-10 overall and 1-4 in league action. 

About Saint Augustine's
The Falcons claimed a 63-57 victory over Virginia Union last time out thanks to a defensive effort that held the Panthers to 33-percent from the field. MacNasa Hughes led the way with 19 points and three blocks while Jordan Love chipped in 11 points. The victory was the sixth win for SAU (6-8) this season and third win inside Emery Gymnasium as the Falcons are 2-2 in the CIAA.

Bowie State will not return to action again until Saturday, Jan. 13 when the Bulldogs travel back to Raleigh, N.C. but this time to face Shaw in a CIAA matchup. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
