BOWIE, MD -- The Bowie State men's basketball team is set to embark on an exciting 2024-25 season, featuring competitive slate of games against a pair of Division I programs, high major non-conference opponents as well as CIAA rivals.
The Bulldogs will make a trip to Hampton for an exhibition on Oct. 17 and a match up with Howard at Burr Gymnasium on Jan. 15.
The season will officially kick off with the Bulldogs Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 8-9, featuring Clarion, Lock Haven and Fayetteville State. BSU will take on Clarion (Nov. 8) and Lock Haven (Nov. 9) at 7 p.m. on both days, respectively.
The team will continue its home skid with three-straight home tilts against Cheyney (Nov. 13), Felician (Nov. 16) and Frostburg State (Nov. 19).
Bowie State will travel to Grand Junction, Co., for a pair of games against Colorado Mesa (Nov. 22) and Fort Lewis (Nov. 23). Those contests will be the first time in program history that Bowie State will face the Mavs and Skyhawks.
The Bulldogs will return to A.C. Jordan Arena for a home tilt with Shepherd before traveling to Shippensburg on Dec. 1. On Dec. 4 Bowie State and UDC will meet, followed by the CIAA opener with Claflin on Dec. 7 on the Kevin Durant Court. Following the conference opener, BSU will travel to Goldey-Beacom on Dec. 10.
Highlights of the conference schedule includes games against Livingstone (Dec. 19), Johnson C. Smith (Dec. 21) on the road while the Bulldogs will host Fayetteville State (Jan. 4) and Shaw (Jan. 19). Bowie State will have home and home games with Lincoln (PA), Virginia Union, Elizabeth City State, Virginia State and Bluefield State.
