BOWIE, MD --- The Bowie State softball team will return to action Wednesday, Feb. 21 for a non-conference twinbill with Howard beginning at 12 noon from the Nationals Youth Academy. The doubleheader will be the fourth consecutive season that Bowie State and Howard meet on the playing fields since 2021.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-2 performance at the HBCU Softball Challenge in Duncan, S.C. last weekend. Key wins featured convincing victories over Albany State (9-1), Kentucky State (9-1) and Winston-Salem State (13-3).

The Bisons are 7-3 overall, having won its last five outings entering Wednesday's twinbill with the Bulldogs. Collectively, HU is hitting .338 from the plate, having scored 36 runs, 54 hits and 32 RBI. Bianca Worthy has a team-high .524 batting average, with 11 hits, six RBI and seven runs scored while Lealani Ricks is hitting .500 with six hits and five runs scored.
