The Short Story: Anijah Medley finishes first place in the triple jump to lead Bowie State women's track and field team at the Maryland Invitational on Saturday afternoon. 
 

SPRINTS

• Kam'Ryn Fontaine finished in 10th place in the 200m race (27.22) while in the 400m race, she posted a time of 1:00.84 for eighth place. 
• Eajia Bonneville and Zahra Grahamall recorded top-20 finishes in the 200m. Bonneville (28.15) in 15th, and Graham (28.77) finishing in the 19th spot. 
• Mylah Faulk placed 11th in the 400m (1:01.88) and Ashely Ayukegba finished in 16th place with a time of 1:04.06. 

DISTANCE

• Makayla Hill, Zynobia Ugbong, and Nasya Fields grabbed top-20 finishes in the 800m race. Hill finished 16th (2:38.08), Ugbong finished 18th (2:47.73), and Fields finished in the 19th spot at (2:49.77). 

JUMPS

• Shakila Campbell finished second overall in the triple jump (10.45m), while in the long jump she finished seventh overall at (4.64). 
• Anijah Medley, Angelica Emory, Madison Adderley-Julien, and Zahra Graham recorded top-15 finishes in the long jump. Medley (4.56m) in ninth, Emory (4.56m) in 10th, Adderley-Julien (4.55m) in 11th, and Graham (3.98m) finishing  14th overall. 

THROWS

• Yassine Kamara earned second overall in the shot put at 11.58m, while in the discus throw she finished in third (41.46m). 
• Jazmyne McGirt placed third in the shot put at 11.36m. 
• Na'Shae Early finished eighth in the hammer throw at 33.78m and claimed the javelin throw ninth at 26.89m while Mikel Lewis (24.66) and Jazmyne McGirt (17.68m) finished tenth and twelfth.
