PUEBLO, Colo. – Bowie State's Yassine Kamara closed out her career at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held this past weekend at CSUP Thunderbowl Stadium.
Kamara captured third place in the women's discus throw with a season-best mark of 52.53 meters and finished among the top 20 in the women's shot put with a throw of 13.14 meters.
The senior wrapped up a superior season, earning 11 medals across seven meets including seven gold and four silver. Kamara also made history as Bowie State's first All-American in track and field since 2010.
A native of Hyattsville, Md., Kamara was named to the 2025 USTFCCCA All-Region Team and recognized earlier in the season as the CIAA Female Field Athlete of the Week.
