BOWIE, MD --- The Bowie State tennis team host Virginia Union for a Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association (CIAA) Northern Division matchup and Senior Day on Saturday, Apr. 20. The first serve is set for 1 p.m. at the BSU Tennis Courts.
Prior to the first serve, the Bulldogs will honor and recognize two graduating seniors in Afruica Gentle and Denaij Rose.

- This is the 28th matchup between BSU and VUU since 2009.

The Bulldogs
The Bulldogs are currently 3-9 and 3-7 in the CIAA after a 7-0 decision against Bluefield State last weekend. BSU is on a three-game losing skid and hopes to snap that skid at home against Virginia Union. In doubles competition, the Bulldogs are 12-15 as a unit with Abner Dickson/Afruica Gentle leading the way. The duo owns a record of 7-1 against conference opponents while Gentle owns a record of 7-2 at the No. 2 singles position.
The Lady Panthers
The Lady Panthers are currently 0-11 overall and in the CIAA after coming off a 5-2 loss to Bluefield State Tuesday (4/16). VUU is 0-3 on the road and 0-8 at home.
