Bowie State Opens 2025-26 Basketball Media Credential Applications

BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State Athletics Media Relations Department is now accepting media credential applications for the 2025-26 men's and women's basketball season. All members of the working media interested in covering Bowie State basketball games must apply for credentials through the Office of Athletic Media Relations.

To ensure an efficient and professional game-day environment, the following policies and procedures have been established for the upcoming season:

Application Process
All media credential requests must be received by the Bowie State University Athletic Media Relations Office no later than two (2) days prior to the requested game(s). Late submissions  and email requests will not be accepted.

If capacity is reached before game day, no additional requests will be approved.

A confirmation notice indicating approval or denial will be sent within two (2) business days of receiving the application. Approved credentials can be picked up at the Athletic Ticket Office located in front of the Leonidas S. James Physical Education Complex, or at Will Call on game day.

No phone calls or emails will be accepted as formal applications.

Credential Priority

Preference will be given to:

  • Local newspapers and television personnel with a history of covering Bowie State Athletics
  • Weekly newspapers with consistent coverage
