CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Bowie State redshirt senior Samuel Graham has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Defensive Back of the Week for the fourth time this season, the league office announced Monday.

A Baltimore, Md., native, Graham was the heart of BSU's defense in the Bulldogs' season finale win over Lincoln (PA). The senior defensive back led all players with 13 tackles, flying to the football and keeping the Lions' offense in check. He also anchored a secondary that tightened up in the red zone, allowing no passing touchdowns after the first quarter.

Graham's leadership and consistency have been the backbone of the Bulldogs' defense throughout the 2025 campaign. Earlier this season, he became the first Bowie State player this year selected to participate in the 2026 HBCU Legacy Bowl, set for February in New Orleans , an all-star showcase featuring top HBCU talent from across the nation.

This marks Graham's fourth CIAA Defensive Back of the Week honor in 2025, further highlighting his impact as one of the conference's most dominant and reliable defenders.
