Women’s Basketball Kicks Off December with Trip to Millersville

BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State women's basketball team (4-1) is set to take on Millersville University (2-1) on Monday, Dec. 1, for a non-conference tilt. Tip-Off is slated for 5:30 p.m. inside the Pucillo Gymnasium in Millersville, Pa.

Bowie State kept its early-season momentum rolling with an 81–54 road win at District of Columbia on Tuesday, pushing the Bulldogs to 4–1 for the first time since 2019. After trailing early, BSU took control with a 26–8 second quarter and never looked back, finishing with a 45–35 rebounding advantage and a 36–22 edge in the paint.

Bouknight sparked a 13–0 run that put the Bulldogs in front for good, while Owusu-Mensah and Mayah Garner helped extend the lead to 12 at halftime. Bowie State locked in defensively in the third, holding UDC to 3-of-16 shooting to build a 53–34 cushion. In the fourth, Owusu-Mensah and Cobb fueled the offense as BSU pushed the margin to as many as 30 to close out its fourth straight victory.
