After an early Millersville basket, Smith quickly answered with a three-pointer to spark a strong first quarter that put BSU ahead 22–10. The Bulldogs continued to control the pace into halftime, using transition plays from
Hannah Wilkerson and
Sydney Anthony to take a 36–23 lead at the break.
BSU broke the game open in the third quarter with a decisive 19–6 run, highlighted by key defensive plays from Sterling and a buzzer-beater jumper from Owusu-Mensah to push the margin to 55–29.
