Brackets Set for the 2025 CIAA Women's and Men's Basketball Tournament

BOWIE, MD --- The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) released the 2025 CIAA Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament Saturday night. The single-elimination tournament will be held in CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, MD on February 25 - March 1.

Tournament games will tip-off at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25. Each bracket is seeded based on Division record. If division records are tied, the first tiebreaker is head-to-head results followed by point differential. 

Bowie State women's basketball finished 6-4 in the Northern Division which earned a third seed (North) in the tournament. The Bulldogs will face the No. 6 seed from the South in Winston-Salem State (6-19, 3-13 CIAA, 2-8 South) on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 4:30 p.m. in CFG Bank Arena. The winner will face the No. 2 seed (South) Livingstone on Thursday, Feb. 27 at 6:00 p.m.

The Bowie State men's basketball team (15-13, 7-9 CIAA) finished 5-5 in the Northern Division this season, earning the No. 5 seed from the North and will take on the No. 4 seed of the South Livingstone College (12-15, 4-12 CIAA, 3-7 South) on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:40 p.m. The winner of the opening round will face the No. 1 seed Virginia State (North) on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 6:40 p.m. from CFG Bank Arena.
