Bowie State Softball Looks to Finish Strong in Final Regular Season Series

BOWIE, MD – The Bowie State softball team will wrap up the regular season this weekend with doubleheader matchups against Northern Division opponents Elizabeth City State on Friday, Apr. 25 in Elizabeth City, N.C., and Bluefield State on Sunday, Apr. 27 in Bluefield, Va.

Series History

  • The Bulldogs lead the all-time series against Elizabeth City State 29-6. BSU last defeated the Lady Vikings 4-3 on Feb. 14, 2025, in Spartanburg, S.C., in non-conference action.
  •  Bowie State hasn't lost to Bluefield State since their first meeting on March 9, 2018, and currently holds a five-game winning streak against the Big Blue.

Scouting the Big Blue

  • B-State sits in sixth place in the CIAA standings.
  • The Big Blue will host Lincoln (PA) on Friday, Apr. 25 before hosting the Bulldogs on Sunday, Apr. 27 in Bluefield, Va.
  • Bluefield State's Lexi Shadowens leads the CIAA with 26 RBIs, while teammate Paige Whittington tops the conference with 26 stolen bases.
