BOWIE, MD -- The No. 8 seed Bowie State softball team (27-18) will travel to Stroudsburg, Pa. for the 2025 NCAA Atlantic Region softball tournament against the No. 1 seed East Stroudsburg (46-10-1) on Thursday, May 8. The first pitch is slated for 10 a.m. at Creekview Park.
All Atlantic Region softball games will be broadcasted on the PSAC Sports Digital Network - https://psacsportsdigitalnetwork.com/.

- Records: 27-18, CIAA Softball Champions
- BSU is led by CIAA Player of the Year Lindsey George with a 12-8-1 record on the mound and a total of 100 strikeouts heading into Thursdays tilt.
- Bowie State rallied from a 6-4 deficit to defeat Claflin 7-6 and capture the 2025 CIAA softball championship, completing a three-peat under head coach Ed Powell. Key performances came from Presleigh Braxton with a home run, Mikayla Amos with a clutch two-RBI double, and Makayla Drakeford, who secured the win with three scoreless relief innings.
- Bowie State has four of the CIAA's top ten highest hits: Coreena Dunham (51), Jayla Hill (44), Taylor Dawkins (43), and Braxton (43).
- BSU received six All-CIAA selections alongside head coach Powell being named CIAA Coach of the Year.
- Dunham and George were named to the All-Tournament Team, with Dunham voted as the Tournament Most Valuable Player.

- Head Coach Jaime Wohlbach has guided the Warriors to four NCAA tournament appearances in the past five seasons; 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
- East Stroudsburg claimed the PSAC softball championship with a decisive 10–2 victory over Shepherd in the winner-take-all final on Saturday, May 3, in Quakertown, Pa.
- ESU sits in fourth place in the PSAC for batting with an average of .321 off 511 hits, 37 homeruns and 310 RBI's.
- The Warriors boast two of the top three hitters in the PSAC: Tatum Kresley, who leads with a .421 batting average and 83 hits, and Abigail Weirich, who follows with a .416 average, 82 hits, and 6 home runs.
- In the circle, Sarah Davenport ranks second in the PSAC with an impressive 30-3 record, a 1.37 ERA, 27 complete games, 12 shutouts, and 356 strikeouts in 31 starts.
