STROUDSBURG, PA. -- The Bowie State softball team (27-19) came up short in a 3-0 loss to East Stroudsburg on Thursday morning, May 8, during NCAA Atlantic Regionals play at Creekview Park.
Lindsey George got the start for the Bulldogs and was tagged with the loss. In relief, Ryalee Dillard turned in a strong performance, tossing two shutout innings while allowing just one hit, no walks, and recording one strikeout.
Coreena Dunham, Presleigh Braxton, Mykhl Young, and Aralynn Robinson each tallied a hit for BSU, with Braxton also swiping a base in the top of the third inning.
The Matchup
Bowie State's offense struggled to find its rhythm against East Stroudsburg's Sarah Davenport, who went the distance in a complete-game effort. Despite getting runners on base in multiple innings, the Bulldogs were unable to capitalize and left seven runners stranded, falling by a final score of 3-0.
