DURHAM, N.C. - The Bowie State Bulldogs were selected to finish sixth in the 2025 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Preseason Poll, as determined by the CIAA Sports Information Directors Association during Wednesday's CIAA Football Media Day.

Bowie State's sophomore running back Micah Robinson and redshirt senior defensive back Jordan Williams were selected to the 2025 All-CIAA Preseason Team. Robinson, a Baltimore, Md., native, was named the 2024 CIAA Offensive Rookie of the Year after leading the Bulldogs in rushing with 763 yards on 118 carries and five touchdowns. He also ranked second in the conference with an average of 6.0 yards per carry.

Williams, a native of Brandywine, Md., totaled 49 tackles (35 solo, 14 assisted) during the Bulldogs' 2024 season, adding two pass breakups, one interception, and a forced fumble.

Eight returners from the 2024 All-CIAA Preseason Team were featured on this year's list, led by Virginia State with seven selections. Virginia Union followed with five, while Fayetteville State and Winston-Salem State each had three. Johnson C. Smith, Elizabeth City State, and BSU earned two selections apiece, with Livingstone and Shaw each landing one preseason honoree.

Virginia Union was picked to repeat as CIAA champions after securing back-to-back titles, including a 17-13 win over Virginia State in 2024 and a 21-10 victory over Fayetteville State during their 2023 campaign.
