BOWIE, MD – A total of 26 Bowie State University student-athletes have been recognized with the 2025 Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) academic achievement award, the organization announced.
The prestigious award honors the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level who have maintained at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average while completing a minimum of two years of college-level coursework.
Bowie State's honorees represent seven sports programs, with women's volleyball leading the way with seven selections, followed by women's basketball with five recipients. Football produced three honorees, while softball added four, women's track and field contributed three, men's track and field had two. Women's bowling would round out the list with one awardee.

- Women's Basketball (5): Mayah Gardner, Neresha Miller, Theresha Miller, Gabrielle Clary, Kristin Sterling
- Women's Track & Field (3): Anijah Medley, Aisia Reid, Shyasia White
The 26 honorees reflects the Bulldogs continued commitment to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.
