Graham Earns Second Straight CIAA Defensive Back of the Week Honor

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Bowie State's Samuel Graham has been named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Defensive Back of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Monday night.

Graham led the Bulldogs' defense in Saturday's game at Division I Delaware State, finishing with a game-high 11 tackles, including eight solo stops, and one tackle for loss. The redshirt-senior defensive back was active in both run support and pass coverage, consistently limiting the Hornets' big-play opportunities.

Through two games, Graham leads the CIAA in total tackles (20) and forced fumbles (2), while also recording a defensive touchdown on a 53-yard fumble recovery in the season opener at Shippensburg.

A complete list of the CIAA Weekly Honors can be found HERE.

Bowie State will visit Livingstone College on Saturday, Sept. 20, for its conference opener. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Alumni Memorial Stadium in Salisbury, N.C.
