Bulldogs Look to Bounce Back After Fayetteville State

Bowie State heads into its final home game following a competitive 21-17 setback against Fayetteville State on Oct. 31. The Bulldogs battled throughout the contest, remaining within striking distance before the Broncos secured the victory.

The matchup marked another opportunity for Bowie State to demonstrate its resilience against one of the CIAA's established programs. Despite the result, the Bulldogs showed determination and continued to compete on both sides of the football.

Bulldogs Continue to Build on Conference Success

The Bulldogs have recorded four victories during the 2026 campaign, including conference wins over Elizabeth City State University, Shaw University, Winston-Salem State University, and Johnson C. Smith University.

Bowie State's 34-23 victory over Elizabeth City State on Sept. 26 marked the program's first win of the season and the first career victory for head coach Dawson Odums. The Bulldogs followed that performance with a 34-29 home-opening win over Shaw before earning a dominant 21-0 shutout at Winston-Salem State.

The victory over Johnson C. Smith on Oct. 24 provided another memorable moment for the Bulldogs, as Bowie State secured a 16-13 Homecoming win at Bulldog Stadium.

Throughout the season, Bowie State has demonstrated its ability to compete in close conference contests while continuing to develop offensively and defensively. The Bulldogs will look to capitalize on those experiences as they prepare for their final home appearance.
