Bowie State split its final day at the Sue Morris Classic, earning a 4–2 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan before falling 4–2 to West Virginia State.

Sydney Seals delivered a standout performance in the circle, tossing a complete game with 13 strikeouts while allowing just one earned run on five hits.
Presleigh Braxton led the offense with two hits and an RBI, while

Angelina Nguyen-Nhu each contributed key hits.
In the second game, BSU was unable to overcome an early deficit against West Virginia State. The Bulldogs scored twice in the sixth inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Braxton, but the comeback fell short.
Aaliyah Amos went the distance in the circle, allowing four runs (two earned) while striking out four.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Amos leads Bowie State offensively with a .409 batting average, including two doubles and a home run while driving in four runs. Braxton has also been productive at the plate, batting .333 with eight hits and a team-high seven runs scored, while
Lisa Frias is hitting .333 and providing stability in the infield.
Additional contributions have come from
India Stokes, who is batting .313, and
Audrey Newell, who has added a home run and three RBI while anchoring the defense behind the plate.
In the circle,
Sydney Seals has led the Bulldogs' pitching staff with a 1–1 record and 22 strikeouts in 12 innings of work, while Amos has also logged significant innings with three starts and 11 strikeouts.
Defensively, BSU has recorded 151 putouts and 49 assists with a .939 team fielding percentage through eight games.
Santanna Puller, Frias, Braxton, and Stokes have each maintained a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, helping anchor the Bulldogs in the field.

Bloomsburg split its final day at the Abe's Invitational, falling 4–2 to Thomas More before earning a 5–4 victory over Lincoln Memorial.
In the loss to Thomas More, the Huskies struggled to overcome an early deficit as the Saints scored three runs in the first two innings. Bloomsburg cut the lead to 3–2 with a two-RBI single from Maulani Frost, bringing home Sydney Thompson and Josie Straigis, but Thomas More added an insurance run to secure the 4–2 win.
The Huskies bounced back against Lincoln Memorial, jumping out to an early lead with back-to-back home runs from Allie Wenrich and Josie Straigis. Bloomsburg extended the lead with an RBI single from Wenrich and a solo home run by Alizabeth Schuler, holding on for a 5–4 victory. Sarah Yamrick tossed a complete game with 10 strikeouts, allowing just four runs.
Wenrich finished the day with three hits, three RBIs, and a home run, while Schuler led the team with four hits, including a homer. Straigis added two home runs and a pair of RBIs, and Yamrick's dominant performance in the circle anchored the Huskies' pitching effort.
Scouting Bloomsburg
Bloomsburg is led by 15th-year head coach Susan Kocher. The Huskies have shown early offensive production this season, hitting .368 as a team with 43 hits and five home runs through their first four games.
BU's lineup is paced by several hitters swinging the bat well to start the year. Schuler leads the team with a .714 batting average, while Taylor Kranzley is hitting .533 with eight hits in four games. Wenrich has provided the power in the middle of the lineup, batting .429 with three home runs and eight RBI, both team highs.
In the circle, Yamrick has been the Huskies' top arm early in the season. Yamrick owns a 2–0 record with a 2.33 ERA, striking out 15 batters in 12 innings of work while holding opposing hitters to a .182 batting average. As a team, Bloomsburg has outscored opponents 21–15 through its first four contests.
