Softball Host Millersville in Midweek Nonconference Doubleheader

BOWIE, MD -- The Bowie State softball team (14–16, 10–0 CIAA) will host the Marauders of Millersville University (17-19, 7-13 PSAC) on Wednesday, Apr. 15, at the BSU Softball Complex in Bowie, Md. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., streaming live on HBCU Go.

Last Time Out for the Bulldogs
BSU is coming off a CIAA doubleheader sweep at Virginia Union on Saturday, earning a 9–0 run-rule victory in game one before securing a 7–3 win in game two.

In the opener, the Bulldogs used a four-run first inning to take control early and never looked back. Newell led the way with three hits and three RBIs, while Seals dominated in the circle, tossing a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts over five innings.

In game two, Bowie State relied on patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning to complete the sweep. The Bulldogs drew 13 walks and scored in four different innings, highlighted by Aralynn Robinson stealing home twice. Braxton added two runs scored, while Amos earned the win with a complete-game effort, allowing three hits and striking out six.
