Bulldogs Welcome Morgan State for Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day

BOWIE, MD -- The Bowie State softball team (17–17, 12–0 CIAA, 6-0 North) will host MEAC foe Morgan State University (12-26, 9-12 MEAC) for Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Apr. 28, at the BSU Softball Complex in Bowie, Md. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., streaming live on HBCU Go.

Series History vs. Morgan State

Last Time Out for the Bulldogs
Bowie State swept a CIAA doubleheader against Lincoln (PA), earning 8–1 and 9–3 victories on Saturday, Apr. 18 at the BSU Softball Complex.

In game one, the Bulldogs broke through with a five-run fourth inning after three scoreless frames. Dawkins sparked the offense with a solo home run, while Dunham delivered a three-run triple to highlight the rally. BSU added insurance late, and Seals tossed a complete game, allowing just one unearned run while striking out seven.

In game two, the Bulldogs continued their offensive momentum with an 11-hit performance. After falling behind early, Bowie State responded with three runs in the third inning, highlighted by an RBI single from Dunham and a sacrifice fly from Dawkins. Braxton added a two-run double in the fourth, and Ja'chelle Mosley delivered a two-run double in the fifth to extend the lead. Amos went the distance in the circle, striking out nine and allowing just one earned run to secure the sweep.
