(ERIE, Pa.)  Slippery Rock and West Liberty defeated the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs 3-0 and 1-3 respectively on day one of the Laker Invitational hosted by Mercyhurst.  BSU's Lady Bulldogs fell 15-25, 13-25 and 10-25 to Slippery Rock and lost in four sets to West Liberty by scores of 25-23, 20-25, 21-25 and 19-25.  The setbacks even Bowie State's record at 2-2.

Bowie State will look to rebound tomorrow (9/6) versus host Mercyhurst College at 9 a.m. and will wrap the weekend against Ohio Valley University at 2 p.m.
