(BOWIE, Md)  Bowie State University men's basketball era under first-year head coach Darrell Brooks has begun.  The Bulldogs hosted the Quantico Marine Corps in exhibition action and pretty much ran a clinic, easily defeating the visitors by the score of 93-57.

Seniors Charles Richardson (Suitland, MD, Suitland, Montgomery - Takoma Park C.C.) and Duke Crews (Hampton, VA, Bethel, Univ. of Tennessee) led Bowie State with 19 and 14 points respectively.  Senior Andrew Engel (Glen Burnie, MD, Old Mill, Colby C.C.) added 12 points and reshman Dominic Milburn (Silver Spring, MD, Montrose Christian) chipped in 10 points.

The Quantico Marine Corps were led by Willie Nathan with 12 points and David Johnson chipped in 10 points in the loss.

Bowie State will begin the regular season - Sunday, November 15 at Mansfield University of Pennsylvania.  Game time is 3 p.m. in Mansfield's Decker Gymnasium.
