(BOWIE, Md.) The Lady Bulldogs of Bowie State University snapped a seven game losing streak, beating Lincoln University of Pennsylvania 3-1 in volleyball action. Bowie State defeated the Lady Lions 25-22, 30-32, 25-22 and 25-20.

JaTyra Heath (Federalsburg, MD, Colonel Richardson) led Bowie State with a team-high 14 kills and added six digs, one service, block solo, and one block assist. Sophomore
Joshlyn Eggleston (Joppa, MD, Joppatowne) contributed seven kills to chipped in two solo blocks. Senior
Itumeleng Shadreck (Botswana Africa, East Chapel Hill) knocked down four kills and added a team-high nine digs.
Lincoln University of Pennsylvania (6-14) was paced by freshmen Nekia Morris and Charity Hart with 15 and 12 kills respectively. Morris also led the Lady Lions with a game-high 11 digs and Hart went to the floor to pickup another eight digs. Seniors Noel Webster and Kenyatta Austin recorded six and three kills respectively.
Bowie State (2-16) will take a short break before returning to the court - Saturday, October 3rd, travelling to Elizabeth City State for a 3 p.m. match in ECSU's R.L. Vaughan Center.
