(NEW CASTLE, Del.)  The Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs were no match for the much stronger Wilmington University Wildcats, falling in straight sets by scores of 25-5, 25-10 and 25-10.

The BSU Lady Bulldogs tied a team season-low of seven kills and were held to a negative attack percentage of -.241 on 58 team attacks.  Sophomore Jasmine Nixon (Middletown, NY, Middletown) paced Bowie State with a three kills while senior JaTyra Heath (Federalsburg, MD, Colonel Richardson, Chowan Univ.) and freshman Kassondra Greis (Mount Airy, MD, Linganore) recorded two kills each.

Michelle Boyd led Wilmington's Wildcats with a match-high six kills to go along with four service aces and 11 digs.

Bowie State will host Virginia State University - Wednesday, October 20th at 6 p.m. in BSU's A.C. Jordan Arena.
