(PETERSBURG, Va.)  Senior Kyara Lombre (Mitchellville, MD, C.H. Flowers) led the Lady Bulldogs with an individual singles record of 3-2, helping Bowie State to a team 2-3 CIAA Round-Up record.  

Bowie State opened Round-Up No. 2 with a 5-4 setback to Elizabeth City State on Friday.  Host Virginia State blanked the Lady Buldogs 9-0 to begin Saturday (4/2) play, but the Lady Bulldogs rebounded, edging Virginia Union 5-4. 

Chowan defeated Bowie State 8-1 in the Lady Bulldogs first match on Sunday.  However, Bowie State recorded their second shutout of the season, cruising to a 9-0 victory against Lincoln (Pa.).

Bowie State (4-7) will return to the court next weekend (April 9-10) to compete in CIAA Round-Up No. 3, this time hosted by Lincoln (Pa.).
