(BOWIE, Md.) Bowie State University volleyball picked up their second sweep of the season, taming the Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Lady Lions 3-0. The BSU Lady Bulldogs won by scores of 25-15, 26-24 and 25-23.
Freshman
Jenahye' Johnson topped BSU's Lady Bulldogs with 10 kills on 22 attacks and added eight digs and three service aces. Fellow freshman
Cara Nance knocked down nine kills to go along with a dozen digs and three service aces. Freshman
Paige McIntosh had a match-high 19 sets, four service aces and four digs in the win.
As a team, Bowie State (2-11, 2-5 CIAA, 1-0 North) ended the night with a .183 attack percentage and 18 service aces.
Lincoln University of Pennsylvania (0-16, 0-7 CIAA, 0-1 North) was led by the duo of Cynthia Johnson (Randallstown, Md.) and Zakiya Williams (Baltimore, Md.) with nine kills each. Johnson also paced the Lady Lions with a team-high 11 digs. Sharay DuBose was the top setter for the Lady Lions with 13.
Bowie State returns to the court Friday (September 23) hosting the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University at 6 pm.
