Box Score BOWIE, Md. -- The University of the District of Columbia Firebirds sweep the season series against Bowie State University, shutting the Lady Bulldogs out 3-0. The Firebirds son by set scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 25-7 and moved their season record to 3-5.

Bowie State (0-7) tallied 16 kills in 70 total attacks with junior Kasi Eisenzimmer leading the Lady Bulldogs with four kills.  Eisenzimmer also recorded a team-high seven assists to go along with two service aces and five digs. Redshirt freshman Marissa Martinez and sophomore Paige McIntosh led Bowie State on defense with 10 and nine digs respectively.

Tara Usko led the Firebirds with a game-high 10 kills on 18 attacks and added two assists, two service aces, six digs and a block solo. Kamene Rose set her teammates up 19 times and contributed a match-high six service aces.

The Lady Bulldogs will look to get into the win column on Thursday, September 13th against the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College. Match time in BSU's A.C. Jordan Arena is set for 6 pm.
