RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Union University claimed a 5-3 CIAA women's tennis decision over Bowie State University at Battery Park. The loss dropped the Lady Bulldogs overall record to 6-8 and 5-8 in the conference.

The Bowie State No. 1 Doubles duo of Sodipo and Burke fell short by an 8-2 count. VUU's Joe and Shabazz beat the Lady Bulldogs combo of Johnson and Bishop 8-4 at No. 2 Doubles. No. 3 Doubles was awarded to Bowie State by default.
