Box Score BOWIE, Md. - The Goldey-Beacom College Lightning struck hard and fast in a 3-0 shutout of Bowie State University in the Lady Bulldogs' home finale, winning by scores of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-19. The loss dips the Bowie State record to 7-21 overall while Goldey-Beacom improves to 14-16.
 
It was a tough night for all the Lady Bulldogs as Bowie State managed just 19 total kills on 79 total attacks. Leading the way was junior Yaje Ngundam (Bowie, Md.) and sophomore India Mason (New Orleans, La.) with five and four kills respectively. Senior Kyerra Martin (Washington, D.C.) and junior Alexis Fisher (Chesapeake Beach, Md.) tallied three kills each while sophomore Amy Harvey (Laurel, Md.) along with freshman Valerie Taylor (Walkersville, Md.) added a pair of kills apiece in the non-conference loss.
 
Harvey recorded a team-high 13 assists to go along with two digs for the Lady Bulldogs. Ngundam and redshirt junior Marissa Martinez (Albuquerque, N.M.) paced Bowie State with six digs each.
 
Goldey-Beacom's Kadi McCoy (Dallastown, Pa.) paced the Lightning with a match-high 11 kills on 29 attacks and added two service aces and seven digs. Roni Peters (Leonardtown, Md.) hustled for a match-high nine digs and McKenzie Wilson (Wilmington, Del.) contributed another six digs. Danielle Cipolletti (Scottsdale, Ariz.) recorded a match-high 23 digs in the three-set sweep.
 
Bowie State will close out their 2014 season on Friday (November 7th) making a short trip up to conference foe The Lincoln University. Match time in the Manuel Rivero Hall is set for 7 pm.
