Box Score Charlotte, N.C. - Two members of Bowie State University football team have been named CIAA Players of the Week as announced by the CIAA Office on Monday afternoon.
 
Graduate student Matthew Goggans (Pine Grove, Calif.) and junior Nyme Manns (Baltimore, Md.), have been named Players of the Week at their respective positions after the Bulldogs 21-14 setback at Division I-FCS Central Connecticut State on Saturday.
 
Goggans was named CIAA Quarterback of the Week for the third consecutive week. Goggans passed for a season-high 373 yards, set new school single game records for completions (34) and attempts (68) and scored two touchdowns.
 
Manns had a career game and led all receivers, hauling in a school single game record 12 receptions and a BSU single game record 194 reception yards and scored one touchdown.
 
The Bulldogs will make their home debut and open conference play against Livingstone College on Saturday (9/26) at 6 p.m.
