Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 ORANGEBURG, S.C. - The Bowie State softball team (2-1) opened up their 2023 season on Saturday, and coach Ed Powell's squad wasted no time getting right to work - playing three games on opening day of the HBCU DII Classic hosted by Claflin. 

The Bulldogs defeated Edward Waters, 5-2, followed by a 7-6 setback to Tuskegee midday. BSU would end the day with a convincing 7-2 win over Albany State.

Bowie State will return to action Sunday, Feb. 19 when the Bulldogs take on Clark Atlanta (10 a.m.), Miles (12 noon) and Benedict (2 p.m.).
