SALEM, Va. - The Bowie State women's bowling team moved on to the winners bracket of the 2023 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Championship Saturday with a victory over Livingstone at the AMF LeeHi Lanes.

BSU defeated the Lady Blue Bears of LC in a tight battle, 4-3 led by All-CIAA Chalia Gray who rolled a team-high 174. The Bulldogs combined for 1001 total pinfalls compared to Livingstone's 824 pinfalls.

Bowie State joins Fayetteville State, Johnson C. Smith and Shaw in round two of the CIAA championship. Competition will resume Sunday, Mar. 26 at 9:50 a.m.
