WASHINGTON, D.C. – Freshman Yassine Kamara won the discus to lead the Bowie State women's track and field team at the Bison Classic, hosted by Gallaudet and Howard Saturday at the Thomas O. Berg Track. Out of the 19 events scored, the Bulldogs combined for 28 points for sixth place overall as a team.

SPRINTS
- Agi Mboob finished seventh in the 400m dash (1:06.69) and Heaven Jenkins claimed the 10th spot at 1:08.99.
- Enwereji placed fifth in the 400m dash, crossing the finish line at 1:03.68.
- The Bulldogs 4x400m relay team made up of Mboob, Catherine Enwereji, Zahra Graham and Destiny Lewis combined for a time of 4:17.24 for third place.
JUMPS
- Graham grabbed a fifth-best in the high jump at 1.42m while in the long jump, she posted a mark of 4.49m for 10th overall.
- Destiny Lewis earned a fifth place finish in the 400m hurdles at 1:11.83.
THROWS
- Kamara threw a mark of 39,40m in the discus to take home first place. She also grabbed a third place finish in the shot put with a throwing mark of 11.16m.
- Jamesia Poindexter finished eighth overall in the hammer throw, with a toss of 35.60m.
