The Short Story: The Bowie State men's indoor track and field team wrapped up the VMI Invitational with seven personal-best Saturday in Lexington, Va.
HURDLES
- Fallou Mboup earned a top-10 finish in the 60m hurdles at 8.70 seconds, setting a personal best.
SPRINTS
- Dhani Young, Quincy Julien and Jalen Wilds all registered either a personal best or season best in the 200m race at 22.99 (32), 23.12 (36) and 23.36 (48), respectively.
- Lloyd Braxton set a personal best in the 300m at 37.86 (30th), while Caleb Rose finished 29th at 37.78 in the event.
- Aidan Geron ran an impressive 51.51 in the 400m to notch 15th overall, setting a personal best.
JUMPS
- Corey Anderson, Jr. finished 18th overall in the long jump, posting a personal best 6.36m, followed by a personal best in the triple jump at 13.59m for eighth overall.
- Koran Pittman tabbed 10th overall at 12.62m in the same event.
THROWS
- Movado Gray, Ahmad Johnson and Alonzo Fluellen all competed in the shot put, posting 14.42m (9th), 12.50m (25th), and 12.03m (33rd), respectively. Fluellen tabbed a season best in the event.
- Fluellen placed 22nd in the weight throw (11.90m).
