STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Bowie State men's and women's track and field teams opened their indoor season with several top-10 finishes at the Fastrack Season Opener on Friday at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

SPRINTERS

·        Men's 60m Hurdles: Aaron Little, Jr. placed fifth in the final (8.22).

·        Women's 60m Dash: Sidney Richardson finished fourth (7.80); Kelys Walker placed seventh (7.94).

·        Women's 60m Hurdles: Richardson added a fourth-place finish (7.80), while Walker took eighth (7.96).

·        Women's 400m: Kaniyah Ervin placed fifth (1:00.70); Mylah Faulk finished sixth (1:01.05).

·        Men's 400m: Benick Akeh won the event in 49.18.

·        Women's 200m: Richardson placed sixth (25.99); Walker finished eighth (26.19).

·        Men's 200m: Dareon Faircloth took second (21.89); Akeh placed sixth (22.05).

·        Relays: The women's 4x400m relay finished seventh (4:09.10); the men's 4x400m relay placed seventh (3:28.54).

JUMPERS

·        Men's High Jump: Princewil Osahon finished eighth with a mark of 1.85m.

·        Women's Long Jump: Rebecca Bogy placed sixth (5.23m).

·        Men's Long Jump: Khory Reevey earned sixth (6.93m).

·        Women's Triple Jump: Anijah Medley placed third (11.24m); Bogy finished seventh (11.00m); Shakila Campbell placed ninth (10.17m).

THROWERS

·        Women's Shot Put: Jazmyne McGirt placed second with a throw of 12.25m.

·        Men's Shot Put: Jaeden Warner finished third (15.70m).

·        Women's Weight Throw: Breanna Reid placed second with a mark of 14.32m.
