CIAA Top Performers
BSU features several of the CIAA's top-ranked athletes across sprints, hurdles, and field events. Dareon Faircloth leads the conference in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.74 and ranks fifth in the men's 200 meters (21.89). Sidney Richardson is tied for fifth in the CIAA in the women's 60-meter dash (7.80).
Benick Akeh is fifth in the men's 400 meters (49.18), while Aaron Little, Jr. is tied for second in the men's 60-meter hurdles after clocking 8.22.
Bowie State's field athletes continue to shine. Khory Reevey is third in the men's long jump (6.93m), Rebecca Bogy sits second in the women's triple jump (11.42m), and Jaeden Warner ranks second in the men's shot put (15.70m). Jazmyne McGirt is third in the women's shot put (12.25m), while Breanna Reid leads the CIAA in the women's weight throw with a mark of 14.41 meters.
Last Time Out
At the most recent meet, the Bulldogs earned several top finishes across events. Faircloth posted a top time in the 200 meters (21.99), Destiny Lewis finished second in the women's 800 meters (2:31.60), and Sean Trader placed seventh in the men's 800 meters (2:08.68). The men's 4x400m relay finished eighth (3:30.23), while the women's 4x400m relay claimed sixth place (4:10.43).
In the field events, Bogy took fifth in the women's triple jump (11.42m), Keshon Tate placed ninth in the men's triple jump (12.35m), and Tareik Jackson, II finished 12th in the men's high jump. In the throws, Warner placed fifth in the men's shot put (15.14m), and McGirt finished seventh in the women's shot put (12.05m).

The Bulldogs will travel to Virginia next weekend to compete in the Liberty Open, hosted by Liberty University, on Friday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 24. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m., starting with the men's weight throw.
