BOWIE, MD – Bowie State track and field's Yassine Kamara and Lorenzo Pelham represented the Bulldogs at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in Indianapolis, capping off a strong indoor season with competitive performances on the national stage.
Kamara, a Hyattsville, Md., native, competed in the women's shot put, placing 15th overall. She threw a best of 13.58m on the day.
Pelham took on a deep field in the men's 60-meter hurdles. The Waldorf, Md., native finished 13th overall while securing fourth place in his heat with a time of 8.02 - two seconds off from qualifying for finals.
With the indoor season concluded, the Bulldogs will now shift its focus to the outdoor season, beginning with the Maryland Invite on March 29 in College Park, Md.
