BOWIE, MD—The Bowie State men's basketball team welcomes Shepherd University for a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, November 27, inside of A.C. Jordan Arena. This will be the nightcap game of a doubleheader featuring the women's game beginning at 5:00 p.m.

• The Bulldogs are on a four-game losing streak against the Rams entering Tuesday's matchup.
• In their last meeting, Shepherd defeated Bowie State 60-54 in Shepherdstown, WV.

Scouting Bowie State
Bowie State (3-4) is currently ranked top two in the Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association (CIAA) in assists per game (16) and blocks per game (4.9). The Bulldogs are also ranked fourth in steals per game (7.1), proving to be a formidable team defensively in the CIAA conference.
Amare Wimbush leads the Bulldogs in scoring and rebounds, averaging 15.8 points per game and five rebounds per game.
Elijah Davis leads the Bulldogs in assists with 3.9 per game.
Last Time Out for the Bulldogs
The Bulldogs dropped their previous matchup against the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis College (Co.) 68-53 on Saturday, Nov 23, inside Brownson Arena in Grand Junction, Col. The Bulldogs were led offensively by Wimbush, who scored 12 points, shooting 50 percent from the field.
Dylan Edwards was the other Bulldog who scored in double figures with 11 points. BSU received a boost from the bench in the loss, with 29 of the team's total points coming off the bench.
Scouting Shepherd
Shepherd (4-2) plays in the Pennsylvania State Athletics Conference (PSAC), where they were predicted to finish fourth in the Eastern Division. Under the leadership of head coach Justin Namolik, the Rams have secured two conference wins on the season. Reigning PSAC player of the week, Chase Paar is the Rams leader in scoring and rebounding, averaging 12 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. Brody Davis is also a key player for Shepherd, averaging 9.8 points per game on the season.
Last Time Out for the Rams
The Rams enter Wednesday's contest after handing California University (PA) their first loss of the season 66-61 on the road inside the Convocation Arena on Nov. 23. Jarod Robinson led the Rams offensively, scoring 17 points, three rebounds, two steals and one block in the victory. Davis also was a standout, scoring 15 points with eight rebounds and two steals. Bowie State will be the third CIAA program Shepherd will face this season as they defeated Winston-Salem State (69-66) but fell to Virginia State (93-50) earlier this season.

Bowie State will travel into the valley of Pennsylvania to face off against Shippensburg University to continue their non-conference slate on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 3:00 p.m. from Heiges Field House in Shippensburg, Pa. The Bulldogs are 2-3 all-time against the Raiders and won their last matchup 70-69 at home in Bowie, Md.
